Ex-serviceman Lagi Kotli supported Agneepath, but kept this condition
The Himachal Pradesh Ex-Servicemen League Kotli unit has supported the Agneepath scheme of the central government. Retired Subedar Purna Chand presided over the meeting held at Kotli on Wednesday. All the ex-servicemen involved in the meeting, saying that the Agneepath scheme is correct, talked about implementing them with some modifications in it. Subedar Purna Chand said that suggestions were taken from all the members in the meeting, on which the ex-servicemen raised the issue of making some amendments. The children who passed the test in the old recruitment should be admitted in the old policy. The ratio of Agniveer should be 65:35. There will be less stability in the 75 and 25 percent army. On completion of four years, Agniveer should get direct appointment in the army's own CAPF, Assam Rifle, Fire Service, DRDO, state security agencies, so that he does not have to get re-recruited. The central government should give notification to fix quota for Agniveers in various departments of the state. So that they have a sense of security. This scheme is meaningful in the interest of the country and the Ex-Service Man League Kotli unit supports it. Mandi CSD canteen manager Major Khem Singh, Captain Hukam Chand, Chaman Lal, Dalip Singh, Kishan Chand, Subedar Ravi Singh, Hoshiar Singh etc. were present in the meeting.
