Group Discussion is one of the most important tasks of SSB. It happen two times during SSB Interview. In this task, the candidates are given the opportunity to informally exchange their views on the subjects of topical interest and of controversial nature.
The Keynote in the mutual communication is informality and no conclusions are required to be arrived at.
The aim of this discussion is to help the candidates to know each other and to make impression on one another. thus, It provides them the opportunity to explore each other and to make impression on one another.
Basically, three personality traits are assessed through discussions namely, interpersonal skills, communication abilities, and knowledge of the subject.
The topic assigned in a group discussion is a means to ascertain the analytical skills of all candidates. This, content as well as the structure of one's talk matter.
